Around 8 pm this Monday (15) in Florianópolis, a house on the premises of the UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) caught fire. There were no injuries; the cause of the fire has not yet been announced.
The fire was centered on Rua Desembargador Vitor Lima in the Trindade district, opposite Manhattan’s 44 Minimercado. This region is close to the CCJ (Center for Legal Sciences) and the Athletic Association of Collegiate Servers (AASUFSC), better known as the Volantes.
According to firefighters, the damaged area was an abandoned stone house, and the wooden gate had to be broken to enter it. Firefighters said the flames reached the roof, walls and debris inside the house, covering an area of about 50 square meters.
