What was supposed to be an end-of-year meeting turned into a police matter on Wednesday evening (20) in Porto Belo, on the northern coast of SA (20). Two men attacked a resident of the republic with sticks and kicks after he refused to give them money.
At around 10pm, the fire service called the military police to go to the Porto Belo emergency department as the victim had serious injuries.
The 52-year-old man said that he lives in a house where about eight people live, and that he would be attending a party there today. He would buy meat and beer, and everyone would eat and drink.
At some point, residents began to ask him for money, and the victim said that he would not give it. It was then that two residents of the republic began to attack the man with sticks and legs.
Criminals searched pockets for money
He fell to the ground and the attackers searched his pockets for money, but found nothing. The victim told police that he often gives residents of the house money to buy drugs.
According to the Prime Minister, the victim spoke incoherently and did not remember his home address, which is a consequence of drunkenness and beatings. He was bleeding from his head and his right arm was broken.
A police report was registered and recommendations were made regarding possible future procedures.
