This Thursday (21st), Balneario Camboriu begins work on one of the most important roads in the history of the city: Avenida Ecoparque. The route will connect Alameda Delfim de Padua Peixoto Filho and 6th Avenue, which is extremely important for local traffic.
According to the City Hall, Avenida Ecoparque is a long-standing order of the local community, where Univali (University of Vale do Itajaí) and the Ruth Cardoso Hospital are located. This will improve traffic flow and improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
Understand what Avenida Ecoparque will be like
Avenida Ecoparque will be 800 meters long and will not be built from scratch. The first section of work, from Alameda Delfim de Padua Peixoto Filho to Rua Blumenau, will involve a complete reconstruction of the existing road with earthworks, rainwater drainage and new asphalt.
The next steps will be the introduction of LED lighting and additional work, including sidewalks and bike paths. In addition, small and medium-sized native seedlings will be planted.
The full implementation of Avenida Ecoparque should take about four months with an investment of R$5.2 million.
“We will give a new look to the Municipal District,” emphasized the mayor of Balneario Camboriu Fabricio Oliveira (Poland). “(It) will revolutionize the development of the area and will contribute to the further development of this area of the city, where the university and our Ruth Cardoso Hospital are located.”
“We contribute not only to mobility, but also to the economic and sustainable development of the region. The new road promises to become an attraction that goes beyond the road system,” added the head of the municipality.
