After six hours of work, crews from the 13th Military Fire Brigade Battalion were able to control a large fire that was burning through vegetation in Camboriu, on the northern coast of SA, this Wednesday morning (20). The garrisons of Balneario Camboriu, Itajaí and Itapema provided support in fighting the fire.
Firefighters were called at around 9:30 am this Wednesday to extinguish a vegetation fire on Avenida Santa Catarina in the Tabuleiro area of Camboriu.
Due to the high temperature and low humidity, the fire quickly spread throughout the area. Additional resources were immediately requested and support was provided by the garrisons of Balneario Camboriu, Itajaí and Itapema.
Since this was a difficult location, in addition to combating shock absorbers in isolated areas, support was used using a mechanical ladder and an Arcanjo-03 aircraft in the 5,500 m² area affected by the fire.
In total, about 200 thousand liters of water were spent on extinguishing the fire and its consequences, and 12 vehicles were used.

Kilometers from the fire site, already on Wednesday morning one could see gigantic smoke caused by flames in the vegetation.
Footage of the incident has already circulated online, showing flames spreading through vegetation. There were no injuries.
