Civil police in Cunha Porana, western Santa Catarina, have identified three people accused of brutally torturing a young man in September. Criminals recorded an attack on a 22-year-old man who required medical attention after spending the night in a private prison run by criminals.
This Tuesday (19), the investigation investigating, among other crimes, torture and illegal imprisonment, was completed and transferred to the judicial authorities, as explained by the representative of the civil police of Cunha Poran, João Miotto.
“At that time, the man sought medical attention and reported that he was being held in a private prison and tortured all night by three people who invaded his home,” the delegate explained.
It was with this message that the investigation began. “We launched a police operation during which several items were seized that served as evidence of both the drug trafficking practices of this criminal organization and the identification of the three perpetrators of the crime of torture and unlawful imprisonment. The investigation is now in the hands of justice,” explained Cunha Pora delegate Joao Miotto.
Suspects detained
According to the civil police of Cunha Porana, during a search of the suspects’ homes, four members of a criminal organization were arrested for drug trafficking. The three individuals responsible for attacking the victim and recording the shocking scenes were charged with torture, false imprisonment and armed criminal association. Investigations are ongoing.
