According to Eder, the boy was born on Thursday (14 years old) and was abandoned in the Santa Maria area on Friday (15 years old). The child’s mother was identified and said in a statement that she tried to hide the pregnancy from her family and partner.

According to investigators, the woman already had three children, and she did not want another one. “She did not receive prenatal care, and the family found out about the pregnancy in the last few days,” he said.

The deputy said that on Thursday, when she felt contractions, she did not seek medical help. “She gave birth to the child herself, breastfed him and dressed him. But she wanted to get rid of the child, so she left on Friday for this purpose.”

According to investigators, the child was abandoned around 10:00 pm on Friday. The child was dressed, wrapped in a towel and in a bag that the woman found in a vacant lot.
