This Monday (18), the federal police charged the influential person Renato Cariani with similar drug trafficking, participation in illicit trafficking and money laundering. Cariani, a bodybuilding athlete, made the announcement at the PF (Federal Police) headquarters in Sao Paulo this afternoon.

According to the PF, the crime associated with such trafficking is related to Cariani’s involvement in chemical raw materials for the production of drugs, and not directly to drugs.

Others, such as Dort and Spinola, are also under investigation for suspicious dealings, as Spinola is a close friend of Cariani.

Prosecutors again requested Cariani’s preventive detention, but the court rejected it and he remains at large. The investigations involve the PF, Gaeco (Special Action Group for Combating Organized Crime) MPSP and the Federal Tax Service.

The Hinsberg operation, carried out by the Federal Tax Service and the Pension Fund on December 12, 2023, was aimed at the company Anidrol, of which the influential person Renato Cariani is a partner.

The searches were carried out at the addresses of the company and influential persons in São Paulo, with 18 warrants served in 7 municipalities of São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Paraná.

The investigation pointed to the leakage of chemical products for the production of drugs, while the Anidrol company issued false invoices in the name of licensed companies.

The complaint, filed by pharmaceutical companies whose names were linked to the purchase of starting materials, led to a year-long investigation by the Federal Tax Service. Authorities note that the group carried out irregular movements from 2014 to 2020.

Those involved will be charged with human trafficking, association for the purpose of human trafficking and money laundering. Although 4 arrest warrants were issued based on 60 cases of falsification of invoices, the court rejected them.

The leak revealed 12 tons of chemical products worth about 6 million reais, used in the processing and adulteration of 19 tons of crack and cocaine, containing components such as phenacetin, acetone, ethyl ether, hydrochloric acid, mannitol and ethyl acetate.

Renato Cariani, in addition to being a fitness influencer with over 7.3 million Instagram followers, is also a businessman and athlete. In addition to Anidrol, he is a partner of the nutritional supplement brand Supley.

His social media presence includes courses on bodybuilding, nutrition, investing and English.

In 2022, Cariani hosted a live broadcast on his podcast channel with then-President Jair Bolsonaro (Poland), and his influence extends to the likes of SBT host Danilo Gentili and others in the industry.
