The municipal guard of Balneario Camboriu arrested a man last Sunday afternoon (17 years old) for racially abusing a UPA (emergency department) guard in the Nasoes area of ​​Rua Israel.

The UPA provided medical assistance before the man was arrested for racial slurs

The municipal guard was called in to investigate the case. After the arrival of the garrison, the author was provided with medical assistance and was taken to the police duty center for appropriate procedures.

The penalty for racial slurs in Brazil, which became the crime of racism in 2023, ranges from two to five years’ imprisonment in addition to a fine. There is no bail and the crime is not punishable.
