The Investigative Court No. 5 of Valladolid decided this Friday to leave at large, although with precautions, the only suspect in the case of the disappearance and death of Esther López de la Rosa, resident of Traspinedo, according to what legal sources told Europa Press. .

The ruling by Chief Judge Soledad Ortega followed a new statement from the only person under investigation for the disappearance and death of the young woman. Both two private prosecutors representing the victim’s sister and parents and the Valladolid prosecutor’s office, headed by Soledad Martín Najera, demanded preventive detention of the suspect, while the latter offered the possibility of avoiding prison time by posting bail.

In her car, the instructor demands that she appear in court every Monday to sign and prohibits her from leaving the country.

Before the instructor’s permission, there were moments of tense anticipation, the same ones that occurred in the morning at the doors of the Valladolid courthouse on Angustias Street due to the concentration that had continued since then. At 9:30 a.m., fifty people, including Esther Lopez’s family and friends, took part in demanding justice for the victim.

The protesters carried photographs of the deceased and, despite the bitter cold that prevailed at the time, they stood firm and periodically shouted at the only person under investigation while he made his second statement in court in these two years, which had lasted for an hour and a quarter and during which he answered only questions from the judge, the prosecutor and his lawyer.

“Justice for Esther, murderers, liars, cowards, narcissists…she was only 35 years old!” chanted the crowd, among whom the aunt of the deceased walked in front.
