The Civil Police of Indaial, in Vale do Itajaí, proactively arrested this Wednesday (13) a man suspected of robbing a pedestrian who was held at knifepoint. However, the “hesitation” during the thief’s actions was critical to his identification and arrest.
According to the Civil Police, on August 15 this year, a man was robbed at knifepoint on a street in the Nações area. The suspect stole her mobile phone, wallet with all her documents and 150 reais in cash.
After the robbery, while fleeing on foot, the suspect dropped his personal documents, causing the victim to take them and hand them over to the police.
Thief detained preventively
Thus, after establishing the identity, the Indian police chief demanded the preventive arrest of the suspect, which was carried out this Wednesday (13). He was taken to jail and is expected to have a custody hearing in the next few hours.
