An explosion in a Fiat/Grand Siena CNG (automotive natural gas) vehicle forced employees of EBB Alice Júlia Teixeira in Sangana, in the south of the state, to evacuate the unit. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon (13), according to the fire department.
Following the explosion, there was a strong smell of LNG in the area.
According to police, the car was parked in the school yard when officers heard a bang followed by a strong odor of CNG. Having identified the owner of the car, firefighters opened the trunk.
The crew then closed the valves on the leaking CNG cylinders. The entire vehicle was subsequently opened to allow the gas to disperse. School employees were given safety instructions.
