A new episode has just appeared in the strange story of Natalia Grace, or rather, six chapters of the documentary. In the program “Natalya Says” (“Natalya Says” in literal translation), she refutes accusations of trying to kill her adoptive parents.
Discoveries about Natalia Grace
In 2010, Michael Barnett and his wife Christina from the United States adopted Natalia, thinking she was a six-year-old Ukrainian orphan with a rare genetic disease.
Over time, the couple discovered that the girl was actually an adult with the appearance of a child. To make matters worse, according to her adoptive parents, Natalya is a “sociopath with homicidal tendencies” as she has already tried to kill them and the couple’s other children with a knife.
The case has been dragging on for many years: in 2012, the Barnetts changed Natalya’s year of birth from 2003 to 1989, and soon moved her to another house.
The documentary shows Natalia Grace’s version.
The documentary, which will try to reveal all the details of the case, talks about the confrontation between Natalya and Mikhail. In the program “Natalya Speaks” (“Natalya Speaks” in literal translation), the accused of attempted murder rejected the insinuations, and Mikhail stated that he “knew perfectly well what he saw.”
The documentary with all possible revelations will be shown only from January in six parts. “I never came into your room with a knife,” she said at one point in the recording, which already shows the tension in the family.
The case ended with the Barnetts confirming the allegations before leaving Natalia and moving to Canada. Both were acquitted of individual child neglect charges in a lawsuit filed by Natalia’s new adoptive mother, Cynthia Mance, which also aired on the program.
