This weekend, a collision on a street in the Boa Vista area of Blumenau, in Vale do Itajaí, left one person dead and another injured. The case, which was reported at around 4 am on Sunday (10), is still not fully clarified.
Upon being called, the fire department and military police learned that the incident was initially a hit-and-run. However, upon arrival at the site, the story took a different turn.
Upon arrival at the scene where the two men were receiving medical attention, military police were informed that in fact a nightclub patron had left the establishment, allegedly without paying for what he had consumed.
One of the security guards ran after him, witnesses told police, and then a car arrived and hit the two men. The vehicle and its driver were not found after the incident by any of the security forces called to help.
The fire department that treated the nightclub security guard who was one of those hit by the car had injuries to his left forehead and a cut to his arm and right calf, according to the fire department. He was taken to Santa Isabel Hospital for treatment.
On Sunday evening (11), military police reported that one of the victims of the collision, without specifying which one, died in hospital, unable to contain the severity of his injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been established.
The Blumenau Civil Police will investigate the case
