In the final phase of the revitalization of Gustavo Zimmermann Street in the central area of ​​Itupawa, the Municipal Works Office (Semob) has planned another phase of road milling and paving work for the next few days.

Based on the folder, the pavers are the last area to be completed. Then, to complete the work, road signs will be restored and finished.

The work, located in an area of ​​about a kilometer between Residencial Golden Park and Guilherme Scharf Street, took place from Saturday (February 12) to Thursday (July 12), resulting in local traffic being switched to a stop-and-go system. Semob recommended that drivers seek alternative routes.

The work includes new asphalting on a section of approximately four kilometers between Guilherme Scharfa and Felipe Jensen streets. The investment of the City Hall of Blumenau in Rua Gustavo Zimmermann amounts to R$ 6.7 million, with resources made possible by the financing of infrastructure and sanitation (Finisa).

Carlos Splitter Street

On November 30, Mayor Mario Hildebrandt signed an order for paving work on the last section of Carlos Splitter Street in the Garcia neighborhood. The work covers a section of road 132 meters long.

The municipality’s investment in the last section of Rua Carlos Splitter amounts to R$142,000, including funding for infrastructure and sanitation.

Also this year, the Blumenau City Hall paved the first section of Carlos Splitter Street, as well as Mario Cabral and Silva Streets, as well as another section of Itapui Street. This service in the municipality cost approximately 913 thousand reais. Of this amount, R$300,000 came from a parliamentary amendment introduced by state deputy Ivan Naatz. Another 613 thousand reais came from the Blumenau City Hall’s own resources.

“This is a long-standing demand of this community that we have been able to meet by providing these residents with greater security and urban mobility, including access to the Marley Bachauer ESF, which was quite precarious,” Mayor Mario Hildebrandt said at the time.
