Palos Mayor Eduardo Freccia (Podemos) visited on Thursday (7) ND Group and spoke about the structuring of actions, mainly in the southern region of the municipality, focused on the summer season, as well as the initiative in partnership with local businessmen for work on BR-282. Among the announced works is the revitalization of the center of Pinheira beach with re-urbanization and modernization services, as well as the construction of the BR-101 road leading to Guarda do Embao, an important access option to the southern beaches.

Eduardo Freccia also announced work on the road leading from Masiambu station to Selesque station in the area of ​​the Serra do Tabuleiro State Park. “This is a link between the objectives awaiting the environmental license, which is in its final stages and which will begin soon,” he commented.

Another new feature is the expansion of Pinheira’s long-standing water supply system, which will supply water to the rest of the resort, Ponta do Papagayo and Praia do Sonia. To do this, it will be necessary to build a pipeline that will pass through the Parque do Tabuleiro. “At the beginning of the year, work will begin on the construction of this pipeline, which will provide drinking water to all residents of Baixada do Machiambo,” emphasizes the mayor.

Freccia stressed that the delay in carrying out work on the Greater Florianópolis road contour has made industrial expansion in the south of the municipality impossible. The mayor said the mayor’s office has improved zoning in the BR-101 area, allowing companies to seek out businesses that want to locate in the area. The idea is to create clean, non-polluting industries.

According to Freccia, the goal is to offer jobs outside the summer season.

“People who are looking for Palos want to be able to live on the beach, work close to home, with a higher quality of life, and that’s what we want to do, promote the region for tourism and make the city increasingly one of Santa’s top tourist destinations. Partnerships for the implementation of peripheral roads on BR-282

The mayor also talked about partnering with the private sector to unblock traffic on BR-282. The owners of neighboring properties (those located on the banks of public roads, outside the cities) decided to pay for the projects of marginal roads on the highway between BR-101 and Contorno Viario. “We received from these businessmen a willingness to accept the project. Therefore, using private resources, they hired a company that is preparing projects for outlying roads,” he said.

Once approved, the project will be sent to Dnit (National Department of Transport Infrastructure) for tendering and execution of work. This initiative, according to the mayor, will bring the completion of the work closer by one year.

“We hope that it can be unblocked,” the mayor said. “This is an area that no longer has a schedule, it is blocked all day, not to mention the number of deaths. Lots of fatal accidents. Thanks to this alliance of businessmen and government authorities, we hope that decisions will be made as soon as possible.”
