A man was arrested after he stole his boss’s wife’s car in Balneario Pizarras and was involved in two accidents in Itapema, on the northern coast of SC, this Sunday afternoon (3). Military police officers were on patrol when they saw a vehicle traveling at high speed and being involved in a head-on collision.
Eyewitnesses reported to the police that the car was involved in an accident and fled the scene. As a result, police began following the vehicle and learned that the vehicle was stolen and that the driver may have been carrying a firearm.
Other garrisons were called up to provide support following BR-101 towards Balneario Camboriu. On the way to the Ilhota area of Itapema, the suspect met with another accident, got out of the car and entered a forested area.
Police were able to locate the suspect after searching the area, and he claimed that he did not have a weapon and that he had stolen his boss’s wife’s car. He was arrested for car theft and insubordination.

According to police, the man was very nervous and had bruises on his face and torso. No weapons were found on him, but they were found at the victim’s home.
He was taken to the General Forensic Institute (IGP) in Balneario Camboriu and then to the Itapema Civil Police station, along with a car and several stolen hand and power tools.
