“Tigrinho Game” is rapidly gaining popularity among Google searches in Brazil this Monday (4). The practice that has aroused the curiosity of internet users is nothing more than another betting site using “prize roulette”, but in a completely illegal and fraudulent manner to extract money from users.

However, it has now been under investigation by the Paraná civilian police for at least three months (since the case became public). And recently he and two other participants in the scheme were released by the police.
This Sunday (5), in his defense, Campelo published that “falling is the work of man, but rising is the work of God,” and says that the news offended him.

However, it was this rapid financial growth that attracted the attention of the Paraná police, leading to an investigation into the circumstances of this sudden enrichment.
What does the Civil Police say?
In the investigative materials, PCPR (Parana Civil Police) delegate Thiago Dantas explains that criminals were still running raffles for cars and money on social media profiles.
“At the time, victims contributed sums in exchange for participation in sweepstakes in which private individuals did not deliver the prizes,” he adds.

During the investigation, the defendants, in order to gain subscribers in the networks, held a campaign at a gas station in Curitiba. For this occasion, they offered motorcycle couriers R$8,000 of gasoline.
To gain attention on social media, they even posted videos of drinks and luxury cars.

According to Paraná police, the goal is to promote illegal betting services using domain endings such as “gov.br” and “edu.br” to ensure high visibility in search results and give users a false sense of security. .
The technique used, known as defacing, exploits vulnerabilities in official websites, allowing scammers to redirect users to fraudulent bookmakers, often using legitimate names such as Bet365 and Aviator.
These illegal activities pose a significant risk to users and it is imperative that they are aware of these fraudulent activities. Identifying legitimate websites and reporting any suspicious activity to authorities or those responsible for administering hacked websites is essential to combating this practice and protecting Internet users from illegal activities online.
