The man found dead early this Wednesday evening (29 years old) in the waters of the Itajaí Azú River in Indaial, in the Itajaí Valley, has been identified as Wilson Giacomozzi, 60 years old. According to volunteer firefighters, the body was located about 3 km from where the canoe he was in with his son capsized on Sunday morning (26).

Unlike the operations carried out in previous days, the weather is good, but the water level in the river is still above normal. Searches are currently being carried out only by teams from the Indayal volunteer corporation.
“We have divers, boats and also a corporate drone. (…) We believe that the son’s body is below the point where we found the body yesterday,” concludes Commander Vinotti.
