A 21-year-old passenger was arrested for international drug trafficking at the Salgado Filho International Airport in Porto Alegre (RS) this Tuesday (28).
The man from Camboriu, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, was carrying nine kilograms of cocaine in the double bottom of his checked bag.

The suspect was caught red-handed by federal police during routine activities at the airport on Tuesday evening. The drug was discovered during a luggage search with the help of a sniffer dog from the PF kennel.
The drug was hidden in the double bottom of a suitcase that was checked in by the passenger.
The man was transporting drugs to Lisbon, Portugal, when he was approached. According to the Federal Police, he was sent to the penitentiary system.
