A truck and a car were involved in a serious accident that occurred in Porto Belo on Tuesday morning (28). The two collided head-on on their way to Morro de Bombas, leaving one victim with serious injuries.

The incident occurred near Enseada Encantada, on the road to Bombinhas. The road, which was slippery due to rain, was placed under military police protection.

A 56-year-old truck driver was driving along Governador Celso Ramos Avenue when he saw a car going in the wrong direction. The 26-year-old driver of the vehicle attempted to return to his lane, but another truck pulled out in front of him, forcing him to reverse in the opposite direction and causing an accident.

At this time, the truck driver got out to help him and then called emergency services.

Upon arrival, military police found the front of the vehicle completely destroyed and a 26-year-old man conscious but in an unstable condition.

The young man was rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital with severe injuries to the chest and lower extremities, difficulty breathing and a suspected fracture of the femur.

There is no information that the truck driver was injured as a result of the accident, as he called emergency services and managed to provide assistance to the driver.

The PM traffic police officers were entrusted with clearing the road, as well as the emergency vehicle.
