The two women victims of a crash between a car and a truck on Saturday morning (25), on SC-446 in Treviso, in southern SC, have been identified as Lucilene de Cassia Rodrigues Vieira, 47, and Michelle Bettiol, 41 , both nurses.
The victims were medical workers at a hospital in Crisium. On social media, friends and professional colleagues paid tribute.
“Friend, it was a pleasure to work alongside you, a warrior woman, a devoted daughter, a wonderful mother and an exemplary colleague. Thank you for giving me the honor of being your friend. May you be in the arms of the Lord,” said a person close to Michele.
“This tragedy is very sad, they were returning from a place where they saved lives, and at a sad moment they lost their lives,” said a person close to them.
Lucylyn and Michelle were in a Ford Fiesta when they crashed into a lorry.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michel, according to the fire department. She was found dead, with multiple fractures and extensive injuries, and taken to prison.
Lucilyn had the same injuries. The 29-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
