Around 130kg of cocaine was found hidden in the hull of a ship in Imbituba, on the south coast of Santa Catarina. The operation was carried out by the Federal Police with the support of the Military Police on Friday evening (24) in the city’s port.
According to the PF, inspections of moored or anchored vessels have intensified following the appearance of floating drugs in the waters of Santa Catarina. However, it is not yet known whether these cases are related.
“We still don’t know if there is a connection. At least it could be the same mode of operation. Now the investigations are ongoing,” the Pension Fund reported through the press service.

Hunting for cocaine
This activity, considered high risk, involved specialized divers from BOPE (Battalion of Special Operations PM) under the coordination of the Federal Police.
According to the PF, four bales of cocaine were found in the ship’s sea tank. A police investigation will be launched to establish who committed the crime of transnational drug trafficking.
