Jonathan Jensen, 21, is a Swede who was killed initially by his partner in Balneario Camboriu, north coast of Santa Catarina, on the night of last Wednesday (15). The Swede is the ex-boyfriend of YouTuber Gustavo Rocha, who mourned the young man’s death on social media.
The case is being investigated by the DIC (Criminal Investigation Department) of Balneario Camboriu, the preventive arrest of Jensen’s partner has been ordered, and a possible motive for the crime could be the victim’s desire to break off the partnership with the suspect.
Jensen was found dead near the kitchen of a Barra townhouse at around 7pm last Wednesday. The main suspect is the victim’s partner and fellow countryman.
According to the Military Police, the victim had a lot of blood on his head and torso, and there was a knife next to his body.
According to preliminary information, the young man was killed on Tuesday (14), and the police began searching for the suspect only on Wednesday, so the arrest did not happen red-handed, it was requested by the chief of police and accepted.
The victim’s Swedish partner fled in a luxury car
During the course of the incident, the military police collected some information from witnesses in the case and came to the conclusion that the suspect in the crime could be the victim’s own partner and fellow countryman.
The man fled in the young man’s car, a luxury gray Mercedes CLA 250 worth R$150,000.
Based on information about the car’s license plate and the identity of the suspect, the police of Florianópolis, the state capital, as well as federal and civil police at the airports, were informed.
At around 20:15, it was discovered through information systems that a vehicle had entered the capital and the battalion of San José and Florianópolis was called to carry out search operations for the vehicle, which was in San José and was being approached.
There were three men in the car, one of whom was a suspect in the crime, and two lawyers. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and everyone was taken to the San Jose Civil Police station.
