The morning of this Tuesday (14) began with another episode of confusion and “disrespect” involving the employees of Ferry Boat, the ferries that operate between Itajaí and Navegantes, on the northern coast of Santa Catarina. The “fight” then involved patients and a sick elderly woman who were heading to the Marieta Conder Bornhausen Hospital.

In images taken by the driver of the vehicle, a Ferry Boat employee appears altered, saying the vehicle would not be able to enter the docked ferry. Patients wonder, claiming they need to be at the hospital by 7:30 am.

An elderly woman in the front seat shows the tests she is holding and asks the employee to be respectful. “You’re talking to a patient, you naughty bastard. Everyone here is sick,” he says.

The man, however, ignores this and begins shouting profanities and insults at the people in the car, making the elderly woman nervous. “I have heart problems, I left home so well,” says the woman.

The remaining passengers ask the second ferry employee to remove the screaming boy from their side. Requiring a position from the company regarding employee behavior.

What does the ferry say?

As reported by NGI Sul, this episode became known on Tuesday morning (14). Regarding the facts, it is worth clarifying:

“The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m., which is considered peak time for both cars, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians. Any regular user knows about periods of above-average movement, be it in the morning, around noon or late afternoon.

– In an effort to provide good service and mobility for everyone, mixed ramp vessels work with regulated vehicles and then with other users (motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians). That is, there were other cars of this category on that ferry.

– Regarding possible delays, NGI Sul clarifies that the next ferry will dock in six minutes and that this will in no way affect patient schedules, as each user is responsible for planning their trips in advance.

“The company has already recorded other incidents with the aforementioned driver of the company car, the same one who recorded the scenes. The passengers he drives regularly turn against NGI Sul employees. This fact was even officially reported to the city of Navegantes for appropriate measures to be taken.
