The Secretariat of the Prison and Socio-Educational Administration initiated disciplinary proceedings against a criminal police officer, then in the Canoinhas Regional Prison, for publishing a video on his social networks during last year’s elections.
The decree, signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Prison Administration Joana Mahfuz Vicini and published in the Official Gazette this Monday (13), notes that after an investigative investigation, it was decided to create a punitive investigative commission.
According to investigators, a criminal police officer performing his duties in the Canoinhas prison published a video on his social network on October 30, 2022 with footage from inside the prison block.
In the video, the students, apparently undergoing re-education, allegedly celebrated the results of the presidential election, contrary to the current rules and without any permission to do so.
The police deleted the video.
The blog discovered that the video, which was removed from the criminal police officer’s social media, allegedly showed reform students celebrating the victory of the elected candidate in the presidential election, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT).
According to the resolution, the disciplinary commission must be created within ten days from the date of publication in the Official State Gazette, and will complete its work within 30 days.
The name of the criminal police officer is not disclosed by the Secretariat.
