The teenager was temporarily hospitalized for up to 45 days after he stole a knife and threatened children at a kindergarten in Balneario Pizarras, on the northern coast of Santa Catarina. The decision was made by the court on Wednesday (1st).
According to the MPSC (Ministry of State of Santa Catarina), it was also established that the teenager’s mobile phones, laptops and computers were searched and seized. The alleged crime was committed on Tuesday (31).
Teenager allegedly threatened children at kindergarten in Pizarras
According to investigators, that day the teenager stole a knife from a retail establishment near the kindergarten. He then went to school and began making threatening gestures with a knife.
After public safety was called, the teenager was released to his father. However, the young man returned to the entrance to the kindergarten and was taken to the police station.
The prosecutor’s office made a presentation in the case after it became aware of the incident, which, after an operational analysis carried out by the Balneario Pizarras court, led to the hospitalization of the teenager.
Prosecutor Ana Laura Peronio Omizzolo explained that the purpose of the action is to guarantee the safety of children and residents of Pizarras. Therefore, before sentencing, the young man will be hospitalized for a maximum of 45 days.
