A 56-year-old man was found dead in his home in the Bom Jesus area of Taio, in Vale do Itajaí, at around 5:30 pm on Friday (3). The victim had gunshot wounds on his body.
The victim’s car was found burnt out in a neighboring town.
According to military police, a 9 mm pistol with ten intact cartridges was found on a kitchen cabinet. The firearms were handed over to the civilian police, who controlled the incident with the help of the IGP (General Institute of Expertise).
Around 1:00 p.m. that same day, the victim’s car was found burnt out at the Santa Cecilia Events Pavilion. To date, the motive and perpetrator of the murder have not been established. The body was sent to the IML (Institute of Medicine Legal) in Rio do Sul.
