The city authorities of Greater Florianópolis meet this Wednesday (1st) to create a Parliamentary Front to discuss the implementation of maritime transport in the region.
The mayors, presidents of the municipal chambers and councilors of the cities of Florianópolis, Palos, Biguaçu, San José and the governor Celso Ramos will meet to create the Alesca Parliamentary Front (Legislative Assembly of Santa Catarina), which aims to unite forces in favor of the implementation of maritime transport.
During the launch, which will take place in Plenarinho da Alesque at 11 am this Wednesday (1st), an agreement will be signed that the authorities will commit to putting the maritime transport into operation.
“The idea is for the group to support research of social, economic and political significance that considers water transport not only as a tourism option, but also as an urban mobility alternative for the region,” states Alesk.
To enhance the discussion, representatives from ANTAQ (National Water Transport Agency), the port authority, the Brazilian Navy, the state government, as well as civil society and the business sector were also invited.
