At least two vital works should begin to be implemented in Greater Florianópolis. Dnit (National Department of Transport Infrastructure) announced this Monday (30) two tenders to expand the capacity of the BR-282.

Highway BR-282 is the main corridor between Greater Florianopolis and Serra and the rest of the state – Dnit/Divulgação/ND.

The first, with an estimated cost of 1.7 million reais and a deadline for submission of proposals on the 21st, involves hiring a company to prepare a preliminary design for third lanes between km 23 in Palos and km 103 in Alfredo. Wagner.

At least 12 sections of third lanes are planned, four of them in the coastal direction and another eight in the interior of Santa Catarina.

Towards Serra, the forecast is 8.2 kilometers on third lanes. In the opposite direction, towards Florianópolis, 6.7 kilometers, 15 in total.

This Monday (30), Dnit also announced a tender to hire a company to build a new viaduct on the approach to Rancho Queimado, at km 58 of BR-282.

The deadline for proposals is November 22, with an estimated cost of R$18.8 million.

The work calls for a two-level intersection and should help separate highway traffic in a region that no longer supports a mix of heavy and urban traffic.

Also planned are new driveways, signage, lighting infrastructure, metal and concrete barriers, fencing, sidewalks and more.
