To escape her boyfriend’s attacks, the 36-year-old woman jumped from the third floor of a building in the center of Crisiuma, south of Santa Catarina, on Sunday evening (29). The victim was found conscious and with bruises on his body, the PM (Military Police) said.
The woman was not allowed to leave the apartment
In a statement to the police, the woman said that her boyfriend, a 43-year-old man, did not allow her to leave the apartment. She was also threatened and assaulted by her partner.
During one of the attempts to leave the premises, the woman entered the elevator, but was again attacked and forcibly dragged into the apartment. At that moment, according to the victim, she jumped from the third floor in despair. After that, the guy disappeared and was not found.
The woman, who was rescued and taken by Samu (Mobile Emergency Service) to the San Jose Hospital, complained of severe pain throughout her body. Despite the searches, according to the commander of the 9th BPM (Military Police Battalion), Mario Luis Silva, the man has still not been found.
Civil police are investigating the case
The case is being investigated by the Dpcami (Department for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly) of the city of Crisium. The police report should be submitted to the agency, according to delegate in charge Fernando Possamai. From now on, a police investigation will be launched within 30 days to investigate the facts.
