The case of young Matheus Pinheiro Torres, who disappeared on September 9 in Joinville, northern Santa Catarina, is now being investigated by the homicide department. The young man disappeared almost 50 days ago after leaving home to buy milk and was never seen again.
The latest information on Matheus was that he was caught on CCTV getting into a car minutes after leaving a market in the Paranaguamirim area.
According to delegate Dirceu Silveira, the homicide department received the police procedure from another police station and will now analyze the measures that have been taken so far.
“We can’t make any statements at the moment, it would be too early for us to ultimately say what would have happened to young Matheus,” Dirceu explained.
However, according to the delegate, what is noteworthy is the time that has passed since the disappearance of the missing young man. “We’re ending October, so this is a significant period of time for him to not speak out about his family, friends and third parties,” says the delegate. Despite this, the case will still be treated as a disappearance.
