Military police have revealed new details about a shooting that killed two people in Ilhota, Vale do Itajaí province. According to the military police, the case is not yet fully clarified and occurred on Tuesday (24), resulting in the death of a father and son aged 55 and 22 years.
While firefighters helped victims of the shooting, the owner of the house where the double murder took place decided to tell the military police what she saw. According to the police report, the witness said he did not know the shooters, who arrived at the house on a motorcycle.
According to military police, the victims were shot at close range in a house on Rua Nossa Señora de Fatima in the Boa Vista district. The crime scene is located in the more remote area of Ilhota, a few meters from the border with the city of Itajai.
The witness said three men entered her house and shot, and a fourth suspect was outside the house providing cover.
The woman also said that the victims were negotiating with her to buy land when everyone was surprised by the invasion. The trio committed the murder without removing the helmets of the motorcycles they arrived on.
The owner of the house confirmed that she did not know the shooters, but they were all thin and about 1.75 meters tall.
Having killed the father and son and left a third person seriously wounded, who was rescued alive, the woman said that the occupiers began to threaten her.
The shooting led to death threats and the theft of a cellphone and CCTV camera.
Under death threats and at gunpoint, the suspects also stole the homeowner’s Samsung A3 cell phone and CCTV recording equipment. After committing the crimes, the trio fled on two motorcycles and were never found. The weapons they were carrying were also not found.
Two firefighting helicopters were subsequently deployed to rescue the third person shot, a 25-year-old man and the victim’s son and brother. According to military police, his body had at least eight puncture wounds caused by gunfire.
The man was rushed by helicopter to the Marieta Conder Bornhausen Hospital in Itajaí. The facility has not yet disclosed his current health status.
Military police teams conducted searches, but the shooters were not identified or located. Gaspar Civil Police are following the case but did not provide details of the investigation in the report. no date +.
