This Wednesday, a 58-year-old man was responsible for a traffic accident in the Rajchaski district of Isara (18). According to the Prime Minister (Military Police), the driver showed signs of intoxication such as slurred speech and instability.
The driver crashed into another vehicle
According to police, the driver of the vehicle went off the road, drove in the wrong direction and collided with a parked car, the owner of which, a 27-year-old woman, was not injured.
Given the situation and suspicions of drunk driving, military police officers asked the man to take a breathalyzer to confirm his state of intoxication.
However, the driver refused to do this. Taking into account the denial, an act of checking signs of changes in psychomotor abilities was prepared, which serves as proof of the fact of intoxication.
When police searched the man’s car, they found an empty beer can, heightening suspicions that he was driving under the influence.
In addition, according to the Prime Minister, a window in the car was broken, and the driver had a forehead injury. Police contacted Samu (Mobile Emergency Services) to assist the injured driver.
After being caught red-handed, the driver was sent to the IML (Institute of Forensic Medicine) to carry out the necessary tests, and then to the Criciúma Fragrant Center.
