The owner of the I/VOLVO XC60 was arrested at around 10:30 pm this Saturday in Florianópolis after being involved in a traffic accident while driving on the wrong side of the road. According to the Military Traffic Police, he was drunk.

According to the PMRv (VK Military Traffic Police), the Volvo driver was driving in the wrong direction and caused an accident involving two other vehicles: a Hyundai/HB20, driven by a woman, and a Chevrolet/Spin, driven by a male driver.
The victims received medical assistance, but did not want to go to the hospital because they received only minor injuries.
The driver who was going the wrong way also got into a fight
A federal police officer handcuffed the driver who caused the accident. The owner of the Volvo got into a fight with members of the public and became agitated, the agent said. It was not possible to identify these people.

Police conducted a blood alcohol test on the driver, which showed 1.10 mg/dL of alcohol was cleared from the lungs. As a result, he was arrested.
He was taken in handcuffs to the police station because he was agitated, to prevent his escape and to protect the physical integrity of the police officers and those involved.
