From the beginning of January to the present, Floripa Se Liga Na Rede, a program of the City of Florianópolis aimed at promoting the correct connection of city facilities to the wastewater collection network, has carried out more than 9,860 inspections. During these inspections, it was verified that 826 properties were discharging wastewater into the stormwater network, and 2,366 properties were completely disconnected from the city’s sewer networks.

Also according to the municipality, in the course of the work carried out by the program together with Blitz Sanear, the Municipal Inspectorate and Tratos pela Lagoa e Pelo Capivari, the groups found that the region with the highest level of violations in the inspections carried out in 2023 is the Ingleses district, which has a total of 8,824 buildings with irregular sewer connections.

“Despite the difficulties that ultimately arose during the development of program activities, such as the economic infeasibility for low-income residents to carry out regularization work, residents’ resistance to the inspection team’s access to residential premises, buildings with negative thresholds (the height of the ground is below the quota along which the pipe is located) and the lack of information about sewer connections, this is an important contribution to the city in terms of education and awareness.

Since August 21, Floripa Se Liga Na Rede has expanded its activities and also operates in the Estreito area, in the continental region of the capital.

With the inclusion of the new area in the inspection route, the teams simultaneously visited the communities of Estreito, Costeira do Pirajubae, Saco dos Limoes and Corrego Grande, the latter from the first half of this year.

In Estreito, teams are still sending out announcements and last call notifications to area residents. The reports are used to communicate with residents about the availability of the program and their interest in inspecting the home.

To schedule an inspection, the responsible person must send a WhatsApp message to (48) 98821-6499.

In houses with violations in the region, the same procedures and repair periods will be carried out as in other areas of the city, the mayor’s office reports. By definition, violations considered common, such as a missing grease trap, the most common among homes inspected, are given 30 days to correct.

Also, according to Floripa Se Liga Na Rede, for records of wastewater discharge into the stormwater network, a 15-day correction period is specified, for which the responsibility of the property owner rests.

After the specified period, the responsible party is advised to correct the problem and then contact the technicians again to request a refund and a new estimate. The return action is necessary for regular registration with the supervisory authorities and the Floripa Se Liga na Rede system.

How to settle

The City of Florianópolis warns that all pending properties have already been submitted to the inspection authorities, but they can still anticipate fines, summonses and assessments by scheduling an inspection – be it a first inspection or a repeat inspection – Floripa Se Liga Na Rede. .

Owners of properties that have already been inspected and found to be inadequate must contact us again after completion of the adaptation work so that Floripa Se Liga Na Rede can carry out new tests and prove correctness, completing the process.

Floripa Se Liga Na Rede is a program run by the City Hall of Florianópolis, carried out in collaboration with Casan and implemented by Echoa Engenharia, which aims to promote the correct connection of properties in the city to the wastewater collection network, while serving certain areas. .

Floripa Se Liga Na Rede operates from Monday to Friday with scheduled inspections from 9:00 to 17:00.
