On Monday morning (2) a man was arrested in Araquari, northern Santa Catarina, with eight false IDs. The arrest occurred while approaching BR-101.
According to the PRF (Federal Highway Police), agents were conducting a check on the highway when the 43-year-old driver was approached and presented with one of the documents he was carrying. Police checked the systems and found a possible active warrant.
While exiting the vehicle, agents noticed that a bench warrant had been issued for another person with the same name. When examining the car, police found seven more documents issued in the states of Parana and Espirito Santo.
The suspect was caught red-handed and admitted that he was already facing criminal charges. The man also stated that his real identity has several police reports for using and falsifying official documents. He was taken to the Joinville Civil Police Station.
