Details of the rape of a 25-year-old woman on Monday (25) in Blumenau were revealed at a press conference. Civil police delegates Felipe Blos Orsi, Juliana Tridapalli and police officers from the DPCAMI (Police Station for the Protection of Women, Children and Adolescents) met on Thursday morning (28) at the regional police station of the municipality.

According to the civil police, the victim was separated from the company and was waiting on the stairs next to the Ponte de Ferro tunnel on Rua Rodolfo Augusto Cuquer in the Ponta Aguda district.

A 21-year-old man walked past the victim, greeted him and walked up the stairs. A few seconds later he came back and applied a rear naked choke. The woman tried to react and called for help. At a certain point, according to delegate Felipe Blos Orsi, the victim lost strength and consciousness due to the blow.

She was dragged into a thicket next to the stairs. The crime lasted more than 30 minutes. The deputy said the victim screamed for several moments but could not be heard. She also tried to fight the man, but after the violence she lost consciousness again.

Man tried to kill victim during rape

After committing sexual violence, in order to hide the crime and ensure his impunity, the man began hitting the victim with a stone, approximately seven times on the head.

According to Orsi, he was unable to commit murder for only three reasons. The first concerns the physical size of the man, whom the police chief described as “skinny.”

The second reason was that people were passing by the scene of the crime, at that moment the man got scared and ran away. The third reason is related to courage and the instinct of sacrifice. She put her hand behind her head to protect herself from the blows.

How did the civilian police come to arrest the man?

After the crime, the man rang the doorbell of a house located near the crime scene. Civilian police determined that the building belonged to the suspect’s boss, who was involved in the investigation.

“The boss said that this man really came in that day dirty, he thought it was strange, and he gave him new pants. He arrived with scratches on his hands, and when he learned about rape in this region, he even suspected the boy. But I didn’t really believe that it was him because he was very weak, but soon after that, upon contact with the civilian police, the author was identified, and from the moment the author was found, the formal procedure for identification from photographs was already in place carried out. with the victim,” explained delegate Felipe Blos Orsi.

The arrest took place at around 17:30 this Wednesday (27), near the border between Blumenau and Pomerode. He was captured by the civilian police and found guilty of rape. He even showed the dirty pants he was wearing on the day of the crime.

The victim recognized the author and the jeans. An order was given to arrest him red-handed. The police officers who reported on the investigation and a witness who was the suspect’s supervisor were interviewed.

During interrogation, the man confirmed that he was the author of the events, that he used a choke blow from behind, and regarding the details, he said that he did not remember and that he had memory lapses.

A preventive detention was filed and the man is awaiting a custody hearing.
