Suspect hit rape victim, military police say
At around 12 pm last Monday (25th), the military police were called after a rape case was reported on Rudolfo Augusto Kucera in the Ponta Aguda area of Blumenau. The man allegedly attacked a woman who was walking down the stairs near the Iron Bridge tunnel.
According to military police, the suspect used a rear-naked choke and dragged the woman into a wooded area. The victim reported that she tried to call for help, but the suspect grabbed a rock and hit her in the head area.
After the crime, residents of the region helped the woman. Sama (Mobile Emergency Services) had to call and take the victim to the hospital.
According to the military police, forensic examination showed that there was no penetration. However, the crime of rape is characterized by the lack of consent of the victim.
Shortly after the rape, residents of the area searched the area and approached two men who were attacked and one of them was stabbed.
The victim did not name either of them as suspects, eliminating that possibility. A police report has been filed and security forces continue to monitor the case.
