The body of an 8-year-old girl was found on Wednesday (20) in a well 500 meters from her home located in Grajão, in the southern region of Sao Paulo. According to military police, she was identified as Lana and was wearing the same clothes as on the day of her disappearance.

According to Record TV’s Cidade Alerta, the girl was last seen with a 13-year-old boy. Initially, the cameras showed the boy with Lana, and after 38 minutes he was seen alone, without the child.

The teenager was taken to the police station to give a statement along with his mother. He denied seeing the girl that day. But after seeing the CCTV images, he said he sold the girl to a man nicknamed Cicatrix for 100 reais.

Chickatrice denied that he bought the girl. The young man then changed his story again, saying he gave it to unknown men who pulled up in a car to pick it up.

“However, among the neighbors, the teenager reported that he was walking with Lana in the land known as Mina. They walked together for some time and then went their separate ways,” says the delegate.

Patricia, the girl’s mother, was taken to the police station and then released. Neighbors say she neglects her nine children, who live in difficult conditions.

However, another neighbor came to the woman’s defense, saying Patricia was in an abusive relationship with her husband, who was shot 17 times last year.

The rest of Lana’s brothers were taken by the Guardian Council, with the exception of the eldest, 17 years old, who is in the area threatening local residents.
