Law student Jennifer da Silva Moreira, 19, died after choking on a snack and suffering a cardiopulmonary arrest on Monday (18) in the municipality of Alta Floresta, in Mato Grosso.
The young woman was hospitalized at the Albert Sabina Alta Floresta Regional Hospital. According to Unemata (State University of Mato Grosso), she was brought to the department on Sunday in serious condition and unconscious. The next day, Jennifer was confirmed dead from the head.
In a statement, the university mourned the student’s death, declared three days of mourning, and suspended teaching and administrative activities until this Wednesday (20). “To the family and friends of Unemath, we wish you comfort and comfort in this moment of farewell.”
Jennifer’s body was buried on Tuesday (19) at 15:00 in the Jardim da Saudade cemetery in Alta Floreste.
