On Saturday morning (16) at km 32 of the BR-280 highway in Araquari, in the north of the state, a driver was found among the wreckage of a pile-up of three vehicles. In addition to the man, two more people were injured.
According to the fire department, the man was driving the Montana, was conscious and oriented, and had injuries to his head and knee. After his release, he was left in the care of volunteer firefighters.
The man was a hitchhiker, the woman was fine, but she had a cut on her right leg. Rescuers did not disclose the age of the victims.
There were two people in the Cruze; the driver said he felt pain in his neck and was immobilized by rescuers. There were two men in the third car (truck), they were not injured.
After helping the victims and clearing the road, the PRF (Federal Traffic Police) stopped traffic in the region. The causes of the accident have not been disclosed and are subject to investigation.
