On Wednesday (13), civilian police proactively arrested a man being investigated for murder in the community of Chico Mendes in Florianópolis. The incident occurred in 2012 and the victim was reported to live in Presidente Getúlio, in Alto Vale do Itajaí.
According to the Civil Police of Presidente Getulio, teams from the Metropolitan Police Homicide Division have transmitted information indicating the whereabouts of a person under investigation. Only recently did investigators manage to find a person of interest who had moved from Greater Florianópolis.
On Wednesday (13) morning, civilian police intercepted a vehicle driven by the accused, which was stopped and he was arrested.
After confirming his identity and having a valid preventive arrest warrant against him, the suspect was interrogated and taken to the Rio do Sul Regional Prison, where he remains in the custody of justice.

Also last Wednesday morning (13), Presidente Getulio police officers arrested a fugitive convicted of raping a vulnerable person. Police officers detained a man at his workplace.
The details of the case involving the fugitive were not disclosed by the local civilian police. After the formalities, the second prisoner also testified and was sent to the regional prison of Rio do Sul, where he also remains in the custody of justice.
