The assault on Joinville mobilized several garrisons.
The crime took place this Friday morning in the Pirabeirab area of Joinville. After threatening a resident with a knife, he stole a car and fled towards BR-101. The garrisons began searching, and after about an hour the Araquari garrison was informed that the vehicle was heading towards Barra Velha.
The Prime Minister and the Federal Traffic Police began a pursuit, but the suspect lost control of the car and it overturned about ten times. Despite this, the man managed to hide in the forest, and the garrisons continued the search, including with the support of the Agia helicopter, but to no avail.
A few hours later, around 10 p.m., police received information that the suspect was asking for support from a company security guard, claiming that he was the victim of a robbery. A company employee found the man’s behavior strange and called the police, who approached the suspect. The victim of a robbery in Joinville recognized the man and he was taken to the police station.
