The PRF (Federal Traffic Police) intercepted 13.8 kilograms of cocaine this Thursday (7) on the BR-101 in Ararangua. The drug was hidden in a secret compartment on the dashboard of a Renault/Sandero with Florianópolis license plates.
According to the garrison, the driver was acting restless during the drive-in. When asked if he had anything illegal in his car, the man told officers that they could look and “they wouldn’t find anything.”
During the inspection, PRF officials found signs of forced entry in the area where the passenger airbag should have been located. Opening the compartment, they discovered several cocaine tablets, which bring organized crime about 2 million reais.
The driver of the car, 39 years old, from Sao Paulo, admitted that he took the drugs to Porto Alegre. He was taken to the police station and will be charged with human trafficking.
