A 57-year-old man was preventively arrested after being informed by the Department of Justice of suspicion of involvement in an attempted murder in Leoberto Leale, in Greater Florianopolis. The incident occurred on June 4, 2022, and the suspect has been wanted since then.

According to the military police, on the day of the crime, the suspect, along with his son, tried to kill another man by stabbing and shooting him. The two had long-standing differences, according to a report published at the time.

Despite his injuries, the attacker survived surgery. The suspects were arrested with two types of firearms, 38-gauge and 36-gauge, as well as a knife with an approximately 30 cm blade, which was used in the murder.

According to the civilian police, the attempted murder was carried out for a useless reason, and the only reason the victim did not die was due to circumstances beyond the control of the alleged aggressors.

A warrant for the preventive arrest of the suspect was served at around 2:00 pm this Wednesday (6) in Laurentino, a town in Alto Vale do Itajaí, about 80 km from Leoberto Leal.

The team that carried out the execution of the court order was coordinated by Delegate Daniel Zukon. The suspect was taken to the Alto Vale Regional Jail and remained at the disposal of the Santa Catarina Court.

When a car arrived at the crime scene, police found the victim, a 43-year-old man, who was treated by firefighters who took him to Bom Jesus de Ituporanga Hospital.
