Missing in RS
The situation in Muchuma/RS, in the Takuari Valley, is one of the most critical among the state’s cities affected by recent heavy rains. Fifteen people were found dead in municipality homes on Tuesday (5).
Six more deaths caused by rain in RS were confirmed by Civil Defense this Wednesday (6). Everything happened in Roca Sales, in the region of the valleys. A total of 27 people died as a result of the flood.
Muchum municipal authorities released a preliminary list of 250 names of people who have not been able to contact their families since the disaster began. The list does not mean that these people are missing in the water, but they are inaccessible for some reason, such as lack of electricity, cell signal or access to roads.
