After a storm hit west of Santa Catarina, Kazan reported that the water supply had been cut off. Falling trees caused power outages in seven municipalities.
Casan’s statement highlights that electricity supplies have been disrupted in the municipalities of Coronel Martins, Dionisio Cerqueira, Galvão, Jupia, Novo Horizonte, Palma Sola and São Lourenco do Oeste.
Supplies are expected to be restored by this Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Employees of the company monitor the operation of the system and have already contacted Celesc to restore power to the water collection, treatment and distribution installations.
In the note, Kazan thanks you for your understanding and advises the population to conserve water until the water supply system returns to normal.
A man died in a storm
The man, who has not yet been identified, died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree in the municipality of Jupia, in the west of Santa Catarina. The accident happened on Monday afternoon (4).
The victim was in a Chevrolet/Vectra car and was hit by a eucalyptus tree that fell due to strong winds in the region. Due to the severity of the victim could not stand it and died on the spot.
The fire department, scientific police and military police were called to help.
