About 200 kg of marijuana were seized this Sunday morning (3) in Joinville, north of Santa Catarina, after a chase. The car with the drug was in the Pirabeirab area.

According to the PRF (Federal Highway Police), the driver of the vehicle with Belo Horizonte (MG) license plates disobeyed a BR-101 stop order and fled at high speed. The vehicle left the highway and entered a residential area in Pirabeirabá.

The car belongs to a car rental company, and the drug was in the trunk and in the back seat of the car. PRF and military police agents searched the region but did not find the driver of the car, who fled the car.

The seized drug and the car in which it was transported were taken to the Joinville police station. At the moment, the origin and purpose of the drug is unknown.
