The video garnered attention early this Saturday (2) in Crisium, south of Santa Catarina. According to the report, the police would have used violence against the family who were at home participating in the party.
After a public outcry, the prime minister (military police) spoke on the matter and said that the garrison had been provoked by neighbors who had reported a disturbance of the peace.
The police noted that upon arrival at the scene they tried to contact the owner, but to no avail. However, according to the note, even if they were aware of the garrison’s presence, the residents would have ignored it.
“We demanded the presence of the person in charge of the party until some guests opened the door and, in a state of intoxication, insulted the police and stated that they did not have a court order to enter the house.”
In a message on the social network, the woman said that she was wounded by a firearm. In the text, she claims that the police would use pepper spray on her sleeping daughters, 3 and 4 years old.
Regarding the use of force, the Prime Minister noted that “the police entry into the territory took place against the backdrop of a flagrant crime – a criminal offense related to disrupting the work and rest of other people.”
Since the resistance took place, according to the police, “it was necessary to use non-lethal weapons (rubber ammunition) for the sole purpose of stopping the aggression and resistance,” the note says.
