Two more suspects of involvement in the kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl in Crisium, in the south of the state, were arrested this Thursday (31). They are being investigated on suspicion of extortion by kidnapping. The crime happened on the night of August 23 this year, when the child came home with his father.

The two suspects passed a detention hearing and were sent to prison, which was conducted through the Anti-Robbery and Kidnapping Police Station of the State Criminal Investigation Administration and Crisium’s Criminal Investigation Division.

According to the civil police of Santa Catarina, the investigation should continue until the perpetrators of the crime are identified.

The 11-year-old girl was abducted in Crisium on the night of August 23, Wednesday, when she returned home with her father after playing in Crisium.

According to deputy Anselmo Cruz, director of Deic (the State Department of Criminal Investigations), in order to kidnap the child, the criminals installed a fence at the entrance to the garage of the family home.

“The kidnappers put up a fence around the entrance gate of the child’s parents’ garage. Therefore, the father could not enter the house. There was a fight, during which the father was immobilized, and after about 30 seconds the child was taken away, ”Kruse said.

The criminals tied, blindfolded and locked the girl in the trunks of different cars, where she was for about 24 hours, cruising through several cities.

In less than 24 hours, on Thursday (24), the PCCC managed to save the child. She was found with her hands and feet tied and blindfolded on the side of a road in the municipality of Tres Cachoueiras, in Rio Grande do Sul.

According to police, another suspect in the kidnapping of the girl has been detained. Thus, given the number of people arrested this Thursday (31 people), the Civil Police managed to detain three people involved in the crime. The case continues to be investigated.
